Toruń – one of the oldest Polish cities, with a beautiful old town complex, which was entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. It is associated with the person of Mikołaj Kopernik and the famous gingerbread – this is where the Living Gingerbread Museum is located. The most important monuments of Toruń are located within the Old Town, including St. Mary's Church, the Old Town Square with the Town Hall, Arthur's Court, the Church of the Holy Spirit, the Tenement House under the Star, the Copernicus House, the Leaning Tower, a complex of defensive walls – granaries. Kruszwica – the legendary capital of Poland, famous for its brick, Gothic tower standing alone on Castle Hill – the Mouse Tower.
