visiting the Castle– the route from Piast to the secrets of World War II. One of the largest in Europe, the third in Poland and the largest in Lower Silesia, THE CASTLE IN KSIĄŻU is  an object by all means impressive and equally interesting. Known as the Pearl of Lower Silesia, the castle in Książ is located in the picturesque areas of the Książański National Park and is an important element of the famous Piast Castles Route. Not without a reason. The size of the castle in Książ is second only to Malbork and Wawel, and its history is long, rich and full of dark secrets that have not been solved to this day. There are even rumors that the legendary Amber Room and the treasures of Wrocław are hidden in its undergrounds, forged by the Nazis, that they hide some secret weapon from the times of the Second Reich in the masked corridors. The castle is open to the public, and some of the interiors are really impressive. A sign of the times is the honorable restoration of the title of owner to the descendant of the castle's rulers, Bolko von Hochberg  from Munich. The whole of Książ also includes the former castle stables, famous for breeding Silesian horses, today the Książ Stallion Stud.

Charles Bridge, which is one of the oldest bridges in Central Europe. The old town bridge tower was built in the second half of the 14th century, the lower one on the other side of the bridge comes from the second half of the 12th century, it was decorated in the Renaissance style in -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ tower  comes from the second half of the 15th century. the central square of the Old Town. The complex includes a palace, cathedral, church, monastery, museums and gardens. The Orloj town hall clock was made in 1410. In addition to the apostles, Death, Greed and Vanity figures; it is also a product of astronomical knowledge - in the center of the clock face there is the Earth around which the sun revolves. Orloj shows years, months, days and hours, indicates the sunrise and sunset of the Sun and the Moon in the signs of the zodiac. Being at the Market Square, we visit the Jewish district of Prague - Josefov. We visit Vaclavskie Namesti. We walk along the Golden Lane, which owes its fame to the tiny houses in which the shooters of the castle lived. These houses were added at the end of the 16th century  to the recesses of the castle defensive walls.

Skalne Miasto - It is a mountain massif in the Central Czech Sudetes, south of the Broumov Basin. Rock formations made of plate sandstone picturesquely and wonderfully carved by Nature. 100-meter rock walls often make a monumental impression. Here we will find a rock waterfall, a beautiful emerald lake of an old sand pit surrounded by colorful vegetation and an upper lake where an interesting attraction is multi-person rafts.

Visiting the Gold Mine

We start the tour from the Gertrude Adit  

In this part you can see:

• A rich exhibition of maps and plans of the mine from the 18th to the 20th century (including a mysterious map of the Black Adit)

• The showcases contain old mining and metallurgical tools, minerals, and an exhibition of mining lamps

• Muffle furnace, a laboratory furnace in which gold was smelted

• An 18th-century ore cart

In the side passages, which used to be warehouses for explosives, the laboratory of J. Schärfenberg was set up, a man who, in his pursuit of an elixir for longevity, obtained a powerful poison from arsenic ore. Legenda mówi, że  arszenikiem  ze  Złotego  Stoku  podtruwany_cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ was    Napoleon himself. The treasury, which is open to the public, is a great attraction. It is here that you can see 1066 "gold" bars corresponding to 16 tons of gold obtained during the entire working time of the mine, i.e. for about 1000 years. The pavement of death is a pavement carved on the upper floor with an extremely grim history. At the end of the tour, tourists see the Museum of Cautions, Notes and Appeals, a collection of plates related mainly to health and safety regulations, immortalized with various slogans, instructions and warnings.
